Overview
Congregation Beit Tikvah of Ottawa (CBTO) is looking for a full-time Office Administrator (OA) who will take charge of the daily operations of the office. This position will be the primary point of contact for all community queries and for responding to day-to-day membership needs.
The ideal candidate will have proven office management skills, be emotionally intelligent and adept at navigating the dynamic needs of a diverse congregation.
What We Are Looking For:
A broad range of office management skills and expertise and comparable experience, gained from working in the non-profit sector. The candidate must be capable of working in a fast paced environment while maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
Skills and Knowledge:
Be Professional and Business-Minded.
Be organized, self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
Have excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
Have an advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel and a working knowledge of database software and online applications such as Outlook, MailChimp, WordPress, PayPal,
Demonstrate good judgement and be comfortable reaching out to a broad range of people including; members, businesses, sponsors, partners and donors
Our OA's role is to:
Manage the workflow and efficiency of the office
Respond to member queries with factual and straightforward answers.
Maintain our Donor and Member Database
Ensure that effective and accurate accounting practices are followed.
Assist in all community communications, marketing and social media
Work with the Director of Community Development to create new giving opportunities and community engagement initiatives
