Yiddish cinema is undergoing a revival in international productions featuring Yiddish dialogue. This talk presents clips from three Yiddish films – The classic 1937 avant-garde Dybbuk, the 2015 drama  Demon, and, the most recent production, Shehita – and will discuss the uses of the Jewish supernatural before and after the Holocaust.
