‘Campfire’ is set in 1981, immediately after Israel’s withdrawal from the Sinai Peninsula. The recently widowed, Rachel wants to move to a new West Bank settlement where she can begin a new life. ‘39 Pounds of Love’ documents attempts by a young Israeli animator who suffers from muscular dystrophy to find the doctor who predicted he would not live. ‘Year Zero’ is provocative drama of multiple interconnected stories of modern Israel that show people at a turning point in their lives as they struggle to redeem themselves. ‘Out of Sight’, a Blind Ph.D. student embarks upon a private investigation of her best friends suicide as painful lies, secrets and memories are uncovered. ‘Green Chariot’ examines the dilemma of Russian Jewish identity in present day Israel through the eyes of Sasha, who desperately wants to become an Israeli. ‘Like a Fish Out of Water’ is a tender romantic comedy about an Argentinean immigrant trying to make a life for him and his daughter in their new country.
